Auction House, which sells properties in partnership with a network of local estate agents, is gearing up for its biggest ever sale this month, with 370 lots.
The figure is boosted by repossessions, which Auction House says its 26 regional auction centres are seeing increase.
Auction House figures so far this year show 1,182 lots sold from 1,498 offered (a success rate of 78.9%), bringing in a total of over £110m. Year on year, this represents a 14% rise in the number of lots offered – well ahead of the market average and main competitors.
Roger Lake, founding director, said: “The latest Auction House figures are phenomenal – particularly when set against the background of such challenging conditions for the industry as a whole. They only serve to support our firm belief that selling locally achieves higher prices, which is why our lot numbers are continuing to rise.”
Auction House, which has been going for five years, has recently opened sales centres in Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff and London.

Well it would be a shock if someone posted something positive!!
What the hell has "With an average of only 14 lots is it any wonder the conversion rate is high!? "got to do with anything, its a percentage?!! One minute you argue 370 is not many, then that 14 is small so the conversion rate is effected, not logical.
Bit of self interest stinks.
370 lots doesn’t sound as impressive when you realise they are spread across 26 auction centres.
With an average of only 14 lots is it any wonder the conversion rate is high!?
We’ve attended two separate events held by auction house and both have been very poor in comparison to other local auctions.
