North-based Hunters estate agency has announced that it will open 30 new branches across the UK this year.
Claiming to be the UK’s fastest growing estate agent, its says it aims to become the nation’s “favourite estate agency brand” by 2015.
Hunters is now running a national newspaper advertising campaign, aimed at raising consumer awareness.
Hunters, which opened 21 years ago in York, had 49 branches by 2011 when it added 60 further offices through the acquisition of Countrywide’s Bairstow Eves franchised branches.
Post-acquisition, Hunters now has over 30 branches in London and the South-East, plus in city centres including Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Middlesborough and Hull.
Kevin Hollinrake, managing director and Hunters founder, said: “Since 1992, we have grown rapidly, both organically and through acquisitions, to become the UK’s fastest-growing independent estate agency network.
“I believe that much of our success lies in our infrastructure – our independently owned franchised branches are run by business owners who are experts in their own local area – which gives our customers real value.
“Our ambition is to become the nation’s favourite estate agency brand by 2015, and to achieve this we are investing more time, money, expertise and technology than any other estate agency in the UK.”
A spokeswoman said Hunters currently has 109 outlets, of which 17 are ‘personal agents’ – people usually working from their own homes. Almost all of the 30 expected openings this year will be branches, rather than personal agency franchises.
The group has also relaunched its website:
