Zoopla has appointed a big hitter as its chief financial officer.
Stephen Morana, who takes up his post next month, joins from Betfair where he was chief financial officer from 2006, and where he has spent the last year as interim CEO.
At Zoopla, he will work close with founder Alex Chesterman, and will also be appointed to the board of the company, whose major stakeholder is the Daily Mail.
Chesterman said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Stephen as CFO. He is a well-regarded, highly able addition to our senior team and joins us with a wealth of experience at an important time for our business.
“We are looking to continue to grow our brands and services, and Stephen’s experience will be invaluable to us in our quest to become the UK’s leading online property business.”
Morana said: “I am very excited to be joining Zoopla Property Group. I have been very impressed by what Alex and the team have achieved to date, building one of the UK’s fastest growing businesses, and am looking forward to being a part of the success going forward.”
