Pete Wallace, appointed as Countrywide's retail performance director just a year ago and a long-standing employee of the group before that time, has now become managing director of business development for the Spicerhaart group.
He left Countrywide at the start of the summer having previously been managing director of the group's estate agency offices across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.
Meanwhile London agency Greene & Co is opening two new offices during November. The branches in Willesden Green and Harringay Green Lanes will grow the firm's north London and City presence to nine offices.
The Willesden Green branch will be headed up by Steven Andrea as Sales Manager and Hussein Bastan-Hagh as Lettings Manager, while at Harringay Green Lanes, Naveed Kazi will oversee sales, supported by Sofia Williams in lettings.
Down in south east Devon the hybrid agency UrPad - which used to operate from a cafe in the town of Topsham near Exeter - has now opened its own separate permanent office in the town.
The company - led by local man Ian Clark with 30 years experience in the industry - offers both a conventional sales service and a fixed-fee online option to vendors.
Leaders and Romans, which merged in spring this year, say they intend to double the size of their combined business in the next five years.
The firms - operated by parent body Property Service Holdings - have over 150 branches now and say they are embarking on a recruitment process across most disciplines.
