An agent from Leicester-based firm James Sellicks has become the Lewis Hamilton to floor plan drawing, thanks to his dramatic sub-three minute time.
Adrian Wale completed the property floor plan in two minutes and 45 seconds, using a drawing tool produced by the sponsor of the competition, Metropix.
He was followed by Rebecca Wilson of Beercocks (03:09) and Tom Revell of Williams & Donovan (03:14).
“Floor plans used to be a specialist skill, which led to added expense and a long lead-time. This is simply no longer the case. Entrants had to draw a three bedroom property from our archive. Plans had to be drawn accurately and mirror the guide we had provided” explains Metropix director Brian Farrell.
Adrian Wale won a £100 Amazon voucher, with Rebecca and Tom receiving a Kindle Fire and giant luxury cookie respectively.
Wale - who’s now known as ‘The Whizz’ in his office - said: “I thought I would be able to produce a quick plan, but to hear I scored a new record and to win first prize makes it even better!”

I read it as more of a light-hearted and jokey piece, but horses for course and all that.
Let's just pray to GOD none of those plans have a gross internal area....
Yes - to correctly plan a flat in line with the RICS Code of Measuring Practice takes significantly longer than 3 minutes!
