The man behind a PropTech company has blasted Rightmove and Zoopla for failing to emphasise 360-degree virtual tours - the feature recently launched in the UK by Foxtons.
Andrew Nicholls, founder of EyeSpy360 - a virtual tour provider - says both of the UK’s leading portals have the functionality to offer these tours but “it remains a sideline, difficult to implement, offered lacklusterly, and thus vastly under-utilised.”
Nicholls claims that research by Foxtons suggests a typical buyer sees 10 properties in person before taking just two visits to the home they eventually choose. He says 360-degree tours could reduce that total viewing number “giving a far more accurate idea of what the buyer can expect before taking the step towards an in-person viewing.”

...Obvious why it is not rolling out, as it's an extra expense agents can ill afford while the market stinks. Bad timing.
There is some concern that you can give buyers too much information prior to making a viewing decision, these tools coukd put some people off viewing properties they may have bought if they went there, sell the sizzle ...
"He says 360-degree tours could reduce that total viewing number " ... a proper viewing is what a proper buyer needs, www marketing is simply a virtual intro to the property and the area. A 360 of the house interior is a pretty useless indicator of the location, location, location which is a critical factor in most property sales.
Anything that reduces viewing numbers is bad. Any experienced Estate Agent knows that, at the end of each year, the more viewings you have carried out the more properties you will have sold!
