Two local estate agencies are entering a strategic partnership to market properties together, allowing them to list the properties on the ‘big four’ portals.
Established agency Castle Estates and new entrant Suffolk Coastal Estate Agents are to combine marketing of properties in the Suffolk town of Orford.
Suffolk Coastal will be marketing on Rightmove and OnTheMarket and Castle Estates will be marketing on Zoopla and PrimeLocation.
“The sum of the parts is that between the two agencies we cover off all the major property websites and with our local resources we’re able to respond to enquiries quickly and facilitate viewings at very short notice” explains Tim Day, managing director of Suffolk Coastal.
“We’re able to offer our clients two agencies for the price of one, meaning that we can conclude sales with speed, efficiency and a minimal amount of fuss” is how Barry Leach - owner of Castle Estates and an agent in Orford since 1987 - sees the arrangement.
They say that unlike other estate agents in the area they will offer accompanied viewings seven days a week.

Interesting idea... but how will it actually work?
I'd love to know. Is this in effect a multiple agency agreement for the seller?
Are there CPR and AML implications here? I'm not saying it will not work at all, I'd just like more details.
The portals will stop this practice. If it was this easy many more would team up and manipulate the portals.
Viewings 7 days a week by Agent..
Surely this is what you get paid for ?????
I fear Paul S (above )is right. Despite an assumption on sharing the overall portal costs I found it interesting to read that the established agent has withdrawn from Rightmove and OTM, letting his "partner", as a new entrant, provide that exposure. I'm not sure I agree with the description of the "big Four" as described but anything that serves to undermine any portal's total dominance and frankly abusive pricing structure is worth close scrutiny in my book.
