It is understood that an estate agent from Cornwall is to face trial over allegations that he misled potential customers over the price of properties he sold.
The Cornwall Live website and other news media in the south west are reported that Martin Hobbs has denied eight charges relating to 'misleading actions' and false information under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.
The case has been brought by Cornwall Council’s trading standards division.
Hobbs, who has been released on bail, is reported to have allegedly claimed on his own company website and on Rightmove to have sold properties for more than their sale value.
Last week Hobbs, from Cawsand in Cornwall, appeared before Bodmin magistrates; the charges released to claims made between February and April 2017.
Cornwall Live says: “One charge read that in February he advertised on his website a three bedroom apartment as sold when no sale had been arranged. Then, later that month, Hobbs allegedly claimed a property had sold for £257,500, when it actually sold for £235,000.”
The next court hearing will be on July 6.

And meanwhile people are being attacked in the streets with machetes and hammers, scammers taking pensioners to the cleaners..... I dont agree with misrepresentation but why are they wasting resources in court for something the Ombudsman should be dealing with !!!!
