Some weeks later than usual for understandable reasons, the ESTAS Awards 2020 are almost here - and for the first time they’re going virtual.
The event, sponsored by Zoopla, is to be broadcast on YouTube on Friday July 3 starting at 4pm.
Now in their 17th year the awards, which are powered by ESTAS’ own customer review platform, recognise the best agents for customer service based on ratings from clients who have been through the whole moving experience with an agent.
Founder of The ESTAS Group Simon Brown says: “We looked at postponing the awards until November, however shortlisted firms were eager to find out if they were winners. Having the status of an ‘ESTAS Winner’ provides a fantastic marketing message for the rest of the year and we didn’t want anyone to miss out on opportunities to win new business.”
His colleague Ben Marley - new sales director at The ESTAS - adds: “Thanks to our ESTAS partners the awards will be free to watch and as always Phil Spencer will be our master of ceremonies.
“This year we’ll not only be celebrating agencies success in the awards but we’ll be acknowledging the spirit in the property community which has prevailed as firms strive to do the right thing for their clients whilst protecting their businesses and families through these unprecedented times.”
Anyone involved in the property sector can watch the awards for free. You can register here.

Sham awards when you consider who’s on the shortlist
Sad words C B (whoever you are)- we work very hard at base to deliver exceptional customer service and love the fact that these awards are based exclsuively on the clients that have paid for our services or occupied our properties in the previous year. I cant think of a more transparent process then an average % score further enhanced by the volume of votes achieved (reflecting the fact that the more clients you serve the harder it is to maintain a great service). Weve entered the ESTAS every year for over a decade now and manage to get around 80-90% of our client base to vote each year. The feedback informs us as to the missing parts of our service and how we can do better for our clients going forwards. Maybe you should enter the 2021 awards and show us how it's done?
Did you not make it onto the shortlist, CB? You seem a tad bitter about something.
They’re very well put together and organised, but there are so many better agents completely missing off the shortlists that it doesn’t provide a fair reflection. Which is a shame, because the marketing of the awards make them seem very credible.
Some on the shortlist aren’t even top 3 on their high street, let alone in their region.
