Details of the first Women In Estate Agency (WiEA) conference have been revealed.
The group, founded by senior agency figures Liana Loporto-Browne and Clare Hughes, will be held at the Cavendish Conference Centre in London on 2 March 2023.
It will welcome 200 delegates to a jam-packed schedule of speakers aimed at promoting the health, wealth, and empowerment of women in their careers and workplaces.
The keynote speaker will be Joanna Swash, group chief executive of Moneypenny, who will be sharing how she climbed and reached the heights of the career ladder.
Sponsors include Rightmove, ESTAS, Moneypenny and Mio.
Topics include empowering personal stories, women’s mental and physical wellbeing, harnessing the power of social media, managing menopause in the workplace, safety in the workplace, dealing with adversity, climbing the career ladder, and financial health and security.
Speakers and panellists include:
- Lucy Noonan (Owner of Atomic Consultancy)
- Tracey Cole (Mindset Coach)
- Serena Sabala (Fitness and Nutrition Expert)
- Joanna Swash (CEO of Moneypenny and Keynote Speaker)
- Megan Eighteen and Elle Wood (Social Media Experts)
- Nicola Green (Menopause Expert)
- A guest speaker from The Suzy Lamplugh Trust
Mentor Cheryl Thompson will also provide a closing speech that discusses knowing, communicating, and manifesting your worth in a competitive world.
Loporto-Browne, a former NAEA Propertymark president, who setup the group to provide more support and guidance for women working in the sector, said: “Every member of the advisory board is excited about bringing 200 women together to benefit from the energy, insights, and enormous potential of the conference.
“We are determined to break down barriers to true equality and see women succeed and thrive in their careers.”
The conference is open to all and the WIEA Group are hoping that the agenda will attract a diverse audience from across the sector, regardless of gender to help champion and support equality within the workplace.

If this were the other way around it would be "sexist"!. I might attend and claim discrimination.
Why? Men are welcome to attend. I will be.
Now, why don’t you show everyone what a ‘real man’ you are and name yourself- rather than this pathetic nonsense hidden behind a handle?
Sorry but you are right
If I set up a men in EA event would be called sexist even If I said men were welcome
I will not be attending this event I do not see the point or value in it
Events exploring the challenges faced by any demographic, be that based on sex, sexuality, religion, ethnicity, disability, etc is not discriminatory if open to all.
That you may fall in to the applicable category and not need help or guidance does not mean others don’t.
Likewise, if you’re an owner or senior manager in any business, if you’re not attempting to educate and inform yourselves on challenges you may not consider or understand- then it’s your business that will suffer. I, for one, want by businesses to encompass and empower anyone who comes to work with me. For that reason I’m glad there are events like this as well as others organised by the likes of Freehold the industry lgbtq organisation
