Agents are being invited to help shape and be part of the future of the proptech sector.
Propertymark is hosting proptech investment company REACH UK next month for a roundtable showcasing the technology backer’s residential technology portfolio.
During the event, six new companies will be showcased and attendees may subsequently be invited to become mentors with REACH UK to help shape the products ongoing.
The event will be held at 2pm on 7 September at Arbon House in Warwickshire.
Nathan Emerson, chief executive of Propertymark and a proptech mentor said: “Proptech is a rapidly expanding industry right now and there is a wealth of talent and ideas out there.
“What we as agents have the power to do is to help those companies and indeed the sector by forming relationships early on and becoming part of the development process.
“This is an exciting opportunity for agents to not only get ahead of the game and see what’s new but also to be part of the conversation about what we as an industry want to see.”
REACH UK was born out of Second Century Ventures, an American technology investment fund and the strategic arm of the National Association of Realtors.
The six companies in attendance will be:
Residently - The app that makes renting fast, easy and rewarding for renters, property managers and letting agents by making searching, securing, managing, and moving home a seamless experience.
SearchSmartly - AI property matchmaking engine with focus on superior consumer experience, providing higher quality leads, and higher conversion at lower cost for estate agents, build to rent providers, and developers.
Monspire - working capital finance solution for real estate agents and SMEs providing a real-time credit scoring with personalised accuracy utilising open banking.
Houzen - data driven platform to ensure buyers buy the right home and grow equity value through sustainable refurbs.
Safe2 - tracks and automates property inspections and certifications to streamline landlords’ & estate agents’ compliance processes.
Property Deals Insight - comprehensive, in-depth property data analytics helping investors, estate agents and real estate service providers analyse and package their property investments in a few clicks.
The relationship between Propertymark and REACH UK has been growing prominence, this was particularly noticeable at this year’s NAEA Propertymark National Conference which showcased REACH UK’s new Proptech firms and was well attended by NAR’s Global Ambassadors and Global Ambassador Associations from Texas, Illinois, Florida, and California.
The event will have limited places, but Propertymark members and non-members alike are invited to register if they’d like to attend.

Laudable that Propertymark is taking an interest in proptech but please come clean about any commercial arrangements that, I assume, are in place. If there are no such arrangements then they should make that clear too - it would probably increase the credibility of the programme.
If Propertymark has a vested interest in REACH and companies “promoted” via the scheme then this should be clear in the same way one of their members has to reveal any commissions or referral fees received by offering services such as Conveyancing and mortgages.
