A young estate agent - who by the age of 20 has already had a year working with Purplebricks - has ditched the company and has instead joined online rival easyProperty.
Chaim Aaron is easyProperty’s first Manchester franchisee, covering Salford and a number of other suburbs.
“If I sell two properties in a month, I will make double what a corporate estate agent would make” Aaron has told the Manchester Evening News.
“When I knock on people’s doors and they say ‘you’re only 20?’ I say ‘I’m young and ambitious’. I’ve grown up on these streets, I know the area, people, this is where I live and where I want to be spreading my name, spreading the light. What better place to do it than your hometown?” he insists.
He tells the newspaper that his ambition is to work hard this decade so he can cut back his hours working in his 30s.
“I don’t come from a lot of money. From 15, I went to work in a grocery store and was stacking shelves for 16 hours a day. It taught me hard work. I dream of getting to the top as fast as possible; living a luxury lifestyle, having a nice house with a jacuzzi. But I also want to be in a position where I can give back. That feeling of giving; you can't compare it with anything else” he continues.
“People said prior to Brexit there would be a massive crash...never happened. During the first lockdown, everyone said the market is going to crash...instead it’s just been booming, especially with the stamp duty holiday” he goes on.
In addition to Manchester, easyProperty has set up in Hampshire, Liverpool, North West London, West Yorkshire, Portsmouth and Plymouth as well as North and South Wales.
“We are in advanced discussion with multiple people about them joining our team and painting Greater Manchester orange” claims the agency’s chief executive. David Brierley.

Awww Bless his heart.
What's the iconic old saying, made famous by the Meatloaf song? Ah, yes, out of the frying pan and into the fire springs to mind!
Commend his ambition, but if he thinks he's going to achieve it with easyProperty he is sadly mistaken. And a little deluded. For all its critics, Purpblebricks is streets ahead of easyProperty.
Won't take long to knock that level of youthful confidence.
The negativity here is crazy. Fair play lad. I’ve met the team at the new and improved easyProperty and they are warm, welcoming, experienced and professional. If Chaim lists one property and week and sells two a month he will be earning more per annum than corporate office managers. Best of success to you Chaim.
If he lists 1 a week and sells 2 a month (24 of 52 PA) that’s less than 50% listings to sales! What impact will that have on his local reputation which is vital as a self employed agent?
If he can make a good living from 24 sales, then he needs to list maximum 30.
I also wish him the best of luck.
Agree with you Graham. I’m just highlighting, financially, rather than performance wise, how his success would compare with the high street. Even if he achieves small, he will likely be better rewarded. I can’t see him hitting less than 70% with his attitude as long as his valuations are on point.
